EVENT: Around 10:30 AM on a cool but sunny morning, December 16, made a drawing & watercolor of the landscape in each cardinal direction as seen from the center of the site. Here, the view is to the northwest across the Parade Street overpass with a final white train car heading east. Beyond trees the towers of the historic Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church can be seen. EVENT: Around 12:30 PM on another rainy overcast day, December 8, Steve Sonnenberg watched for birds, saw only three pigeons at a distance, but located two nests hidden in overgrowth near the railroad tracks. Bits of plastic bags and packing foam were woven amongst the natural nesting materials.
